Arrests reported

Iola officers arrested Evelina Dyche, Iola, for suspicion of domestic battery Sunday in the 900 block of North Washington Avenue.

Darren Johnson, 37, Iola, was arrested Friday at the intersection of East Street and Jefferson Avenue for warrants dealing with interference with law enforcement and possessing drug paraphernalia, officers reported.

Officers arrested Brandon Brown, 39, Iola, for suspicion of domestic battery Friday afternoon after officers were called to investigate a disturbance in the 400 block of North Kentucky Street.

Orion Nicholas, 23, Iola, was arrested for suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia June 12 after Iola police officers served Nicholas with a separate arrest warrant in the 700 block of North Chestnut Street.

Garage burglary reported

Brittany Carter told officers Thursday morning somebody entered her garage in the 700 block of East Jackson Avenue and stole a bicycle and electric scooter.

Patio furniture stolen

Nikolas Sutton told officers Sunday morning a red patio table and two chairs were taken from his residence in the 500 block of Eisenhower Drive. The theft occurred sometime after Saturday evening, officers were told.

An investigation continues.

Charges requested

Iola police officers were called to a disturbance involving juveniles Monday evening in the 300 block of West Madison Avenue. 

Charges are being requested through the Allen County attorney’s office.

Driver misses curve

Iola police officers said the driver and a passenger in a pickup were treated for possible injuries the evening of June 8 after the driver, Isaac J. Hopkins, left the roadway at the intersection of Willow and Vermont streets.
