Car rolls into SUV
Nicholas Richards had parked his car in the 800 block of North Street Monday evening, when he told Iola police officers the vehicle’s parking brake apparently slipped, causing the car to roll down the street, striking a parked sport utility vehicle owned by Amie S. VanNice.
There were no injuries.
Gas meter hit
Iola police officers said David I. Nichols backed into a gas meter the evening of April 30 near the intersection of Third and Broadway streets, and then left without reporting the incident.
Tent recovered
Iola police officers collected a tent and several other items Tuesday from Meadowbrook Park after attempts to locate an owner were unsuccessful.
The tent may be claimed by the owner at the Iola Police Department.
