False reports lead to Iolan’s arrests
Repeated improper calls for seeking emergency help led to three arrests of Iolan Renee Cook Friday in the 2700 block of North Cottonwood Street. Iola police officers said Cook was arrested shortly after 6 a.m., again about 3 ½ hours later and one final time that evening.

A tip to Iola police officers Sunday evening led them to the 200 block of South Buckeye Street, where they executed a search warrant and arrested Joshua L. Rowe on a pair of outstanding warrants and other new charges.
Vandalism reported
Iola police officers were told Saturday morning that two vehicles had been vandalized overnight Friday with chalk drawings on their windows at Super 8 Motel.
