Arrest reported
Shane Evan, 20, Iola, was arrested by Iola police officers Thursday in the 400 block of East Miller Road, for suspicion of distributing marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as not having liability insurance or proper registration. Trynton Dietrich, 18, Iola, also was arrested for suspected distribution of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Parked car hit
Mary A. Mathew was eastbound in a pickup on Buchanan Street the evening of Jan. 23 when she struck a parked car owned by Jayden M. Lampe near the intersection of Buckeye Street, Iola police officers reported.
Mathew was treated by ambulance crews for her injuries.
Vehicles collide
Vehicles driven by Angel Lair and Trina Westerman collided Jan. 28 at the intersection of East and Sycamore streets. Iola police officers said Lair was northbound in her sport utility vehicle and Westerman westbound in her car when the collision occurred.
Neither was injured.
Citation issued
Iola officers cited James Kelley, Iola, for suspected tampering with an electric meter Monday in Mustang Circle.
Altercation reported
Iola police officers were called Monday to the 300 block of North Washington Avenue because of a reported altercation. One person was located, but the other was not. No arrests were made.
