Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested Larry Kress and Steven Zartman Sunday at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Cottonwood Street for suspected distribution of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers arrested Christopher Trautloff for a contempt of court charge and suspected possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia Nov. 16 at Iola City Hall.
Iola officers said Chase Werner, 14, was arrested for suspected possession of drug paraphernalia Nov. 15 in the 600 block of East Street.
Citation issued
Iolan Joel Mefford was cited for criminal trespassing Nov. 16 in the 500 block of South Fourth Street, Iola police officers reported.
Driver crashes
Michelle L. Compton was traveling eastbound along Monroe Street Nov. 4 when her sport utility vehicle left the roadway west of First Street and crashed in a ditch.
She was unhurt.
Vehicles collide
Derek R. Huffman was eastbound on Miller Road Nov. 8 when he collided with a northbound pickup driven by Zeb Scheibmeir on State Street. Huffman suffered possible injuries, Iola police officers said.
Stopped car hit
Kadence E. Gragg was eastbound on Lincoln Street Nov. 15, when Iola police officers said she looked down at her cellular device and did not stop in time to avoid hitting the rear end of a car driven by Jay Hicks. Hicks was stopped at the Lincoln-Kentucky Street intersection.
Neither driver was hurt.
