Arrests reported
Randy Ivy Jr., 38, Iola, was arrested July 31 in the 10 block of Immel Lane for suspected aggravated assault and possession of marijuana.
Officers arrested Joseph Myrick Saturday in the 300 block of North Jefferson Avenue for a pair of arrest warrants after officers spotted Myrick walking along the street.
Thefts reported
Michael Dyche told Iola police officers July 31 his cell phone was stolen from his home in the 900 block of North Washington Avenue. A suspect was identified.
Also July 31, Iolan Eddie Radford told police his vehicle was burglarized. A speaker box with two speakers and approximately 50 CDs were reported stolen.
Iola Walmart employees told police that another employee was suspected of stealing money from within the store. Information has been forwarded to the Allen County attorney’s office for requested charges.
Break-in reported
Iola Housing Authority officials told police Thursday that somebody had broken into the Iola Day School building in the 800 block of Kansas Drive.
Vehicles collide
Iolan Tina White and Forrest Cass of Garnett collided at the intersection of Cottonwood and Broadway streets Thursday afternoon. Neither was injured. Officers said White was issued a citation for disobeying a stop sign.
Citations issued
Iola officers cited Miranda Reeves for not registering dogs and no proof of rabies vaccinations Aug. 1 in the 200 block of South Buckeye Street.
Vehicle damaged
Thomas Hammer told police Wednesday somebody damaged his vehicle while it was parked at Pump N Pete’s in the 1700 block of East Street.
