Arrest reported
Iola police officers arrested Brodey Silcox Wednesday afternoon in the 400 block of North Cottonwood Street for a warrant out of Douglas County.
Thefts reported
Officers are investigating the theft of a 2011 Ford pickup from the 200 block of South Second Street Wednesday, and the theft of a bicycle from the 300 block of South Second.
A suspect believed responsible for both thefts has been identified, officers said. The bike has been recovered; the pickup has not.
Fights under investigation
Iola police officers were called twice in a matter of hours to reported fights in the predawn hours Thursday in the 100 block of White Boulevard. Both incidents remain under investigation.
Vehicles collide
Shawn M.W. Scott was backing into an alley from a driveway in the 200 block of South First Street Tuesday when his car collided with a westbound pickup driven by Kim L. Stout.
Neither driver was injured.
