Pedestrian struck

Jayci R. Britt was treated for possible injuries after she was struck by a vehicle in the G&W Foods parking lot in the 800 block of West Madison Avenue July 15. Iola police officers said Merrill D. Hodgen was backing from a parking stall when his car hit Britt, who did not require hospitalization.

Arrest reported

Iola police officers arrested Christopher Cooper for suspicion of domestic battery in the 200 block of South Third.

Drivers cited

Alex Farmer was issued a citation Friday evening for suspicion of reckless driving in the 2200 block of North State Street, Iola officers reported.

On Thursday, Dallin Cox, Elsmore, was cited for suspicion of driving while suspended, no proof of insurance, improper registration and speeding in the 1200 block of North Kentucky Street.

Vehicles collide

Zachary C. Hawley was at the intersection of Madison Avenue and State Street July 18, Iola police officers said, when he failed to yield and turned in front of a pickup driven by Jay Kretzmeier. Neither driver was injured.

Theft reported

Bucky Rayburn told Iola officers July 18 somebody stole his red and black 21-speed MGX bicycle from his property. The theft occurred sometime between July 2-17, Rayburn said.

Wallet stolen

Ted Bresee told officers Wednesday somebody stole his wallet from the 500 block of South Chestnut Street.

Residence burglarized

Kenneth Culver told officers Wednesday a residence in the 500 block of South Colborn had been burglarized.
