Driver falls asleep, hits parked car

Austin D. Morris was southbound in the 2100 block of North Cottonwood Street June 12, when he told Iola police officers he apparently fell asleep.

His car veered to the side of the road, striking a parked car owned by Zelda Schlotterbeck.

Morris was not hurt.

Vehicles collide

Allyce D. McKinney was eastbound on Miller Road Wednesday when her car collided with Gary R. Jones, who was southbound on State Street in his pickup. 

Neither was injured, nor was a passenger with Jones.

Vehicle burglarized

Bailey Englert told Iola police officers June 21 somebody damaged her vehicle and stole an undisclosed amount of cash in the 600 block of East Garfield Street.

Weather stripping stripped

Sondra Malloy told police Wednesday somebody removed weather stripping from the windshield of her vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of South Third Street.

Wallet lost

Mary Hoggatt told police Friday she lost her blue flowered wallet somewhere in Iola. She last used the wallet at Dairy Queen.

Citation issued

Iola officers cited Christopher Foley for suspicion of disorderly conduct Friday in the in the 600 block of South Sycamore Street.
