Arrest reported
Iola police officers arrested Melissa Spease April 22 for a warrant out of Coffey County.
Anthony Cooper, 45, was arrested April 23 in the 3000 block of North Kentucky Street for suspicion of disorderly conduct after officers were called to a disturbance.
Officers arrested Theodore Witchley for suspicion of domestic battery Wednesday in the 100 block of White Boulevard.
Sydney Wilson, Humboldt, was arrested Saturday for suspicion of transporting an open container and Brant Hughes of Humboldt for suspected driving while suspended in the 300 block of North State Street.
Skunk killed
Iola Police Lt. Thomas Roush discharged a firearm Saturday morning in the 400 block of North Buckeye Street in order to kill a sick skunk, officers reported.
Medication taken
Sondra Malloy told police Saturday medication was stolen from her residence in the 300 block of South Third Street.
Bike stolen
Julie Ashworth told police Friday her son’s bicycle, a red and black 28-inch bike with pegs was stolen from her yard in the 200 block of West Jackson Avenue. The theft occurred sometime after 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
In its place was a white and purple Huffy 10-speed bike.
Wallet recovered
A wallet with cards belonging to Belinda Bustamante of Texas was handed over to officers April 24.
The wallet was recovered near Walmart, officers said.
