Arrest reported

Colin Elam, 25, Columbia, Mo., was arrested by Iola police officers Sunday in the 100 block of East Jackson Avenue for an out-of-state warrant.

Citations issued

Jacob Keene, 30, Iola, was issued a citation Saturday for suspicion of unlawfully hosting minors consuming alcohol. Dacota Price, 20, Iola, was cited for suspicion of consuming alcohol as a minor.

SUV hit

A car driven by Kalib A. Hunsperger struck the rear end of a sport utility vehicle driven by Larry G. Castle March 12 while Castle was stopped along U.S. 54 at Jefferson Avenue, Iola police officers reported.

Neither driver was injured.

Parked van hit

An unknown motorist left without filing a report after striking a van owned by Linda S. Johnson in the 500 block of North Buckeye Street. The wreck occurred either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

Thefts reported

Kenneth Culver told Iola police March 14 somebody removed items from his residence in the 300 block of South Colborn Street.

Shaya Eggleston told officers somebody took her cell phone from the counter at Pump ‘N Pete’s in the 200 block of South Street March 15.

On Friday, Cari Cochrane told officers somebody entered her residence and took items from inside in the 2700 block of North Cottonwood Street.
