Vehicle struck
Ashley R. McCullough was stopped at a stoplight while eastbound on Madison Avenue at the Washington Avenue intersection March 5, when her sport utility vehicle was struck from behind by an SUV driven by J.D. Harris. Neither was injured, nor was a child passenger with McCullough.
Two arrested for suspected marijuana
Iola police officers conducted a search warrant March 6 in the 1200 block of North Walnut Street. Following the search, Malinda Lewis and Jerry Hiestand were arrested for suspected possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Battery reported
Iola police officers were called to Iola High School March 9 for a reported disturbance.
Officers said a suspect was named for what they described as a battery.
E-cigarette charge filed
Matayal Carlson was charged with possessing an e-cigarette as a minor on Thursday, Iola police officers reported.
