Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested Alex Garber, 21, Iola, for suspicion of transporting an open container of alcohol at the intersection of Breckenridge and Ohio streets Wednesday morning.
Officers arrested Gregory Ard, 26, Iola, for suspicion of battery and possessing drug paraphernalia in the 300 block of West Jackson Avenue.
Nickolas Trester, 27, Iola, was arrested for suspicion of battery and driving without a valid license in the 2900 block of Cedarbrook Drive Monday.
Citation issued
Jennifer Hutton, 36, Iola, was cited by Iola police officers Wednesday for suspicion of harassment by telephone following an incident that occurred early that morning.
Cell phone stolen
Benjamin Wiehn, Yates Center, told police Tuesday his cell phone had been stolen in the 300 block of East Jackson Avenue. A suspect was identified, officers said.
