Accidents

On July 4, a vehicle driven by Raeven R. Jansen struck a gas meter in the alley near the 300 block of Broadway Street.

Arrests

On July 6, Heather Vandenberg, 34, Kansas City, was booked into jail by Iola Police on suspicion of being a pedestrian under the influence and interference with law enforcement.

On July 5, Kristen N. Kumalae, 26, Colony, was booked into jail by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of driving while suspended.

On July 5, Ernest J. Newton, 22, Elk City, was booked into the jail by the Kansas Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving while suspended.

On July 5, Aleata D.L. Cross, 22, Paola, was booked into the jail by the Kansas Highway Patrol on a Franklin County warrant related to a theft charge.

On July 5, Tyler A. Keenan, 24, Yates Center, was booked into jail by the Iola Police on suspicion of battery on a law enforcement officer and interference with a law enforcement officer.

On July 6, Kevin W. Ewing, 58, Iola, was booked into jail by the Iola Police on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.

On July 6, Isaac B. Cheney, 33, Iola, was booked into jail by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant related to charges of illegal registration and driving while suspended.

On July 6, Jeremy K. Shultz, 31, Iola, was booked into jail by the Iola Police on suspicion of possession of stolen property.

On July 6, Arvin A. Farrow, 35, Kansas City, was booked into jail by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of driving while suspended or revoked.

On July 7, Jarreth N. Anderson, 22, Iola, was booked into jail by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of driving without a license.

On July 7, Tony R. Lacrone, 58, Iola, was booked into jail by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of disorderly conduct.

On July 7, Phillip W. Wiggins, 53, Gas, was booked into jail by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office on two Iola warrants alleging failure to appear related to charges of driving without a license, illegal registration (two counts), and no liability insurance (two counts).
