Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested Christopher Hibbs Thursday in the 1700 block of East Street for suspicion of burglary, theft and criminal use of a financial card.
Officers arrested Nancy Newkirk, 62, Iola, in the 1200 block of North Walnut Street Aug. 12 for suspicion of driving under the influence, driving while suspended, no proof of liability insurance, illegal registration, failure to use a turn signal and no seat belt.
Vehicle struck
A car driven by Emma L. Dolen, 79, was slowing for traffic Aug. 12 in the 1700 block of East Street, when she was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Gracie P. Splechter, 16.
Neither driver was injured, nor were two passengers riding with Splechter.
