Arrests reported
Iola police officers arrested John Zahm III, 47, Iola, for suspicion of disorderly conduct Monday in the 1000 block of North Cottonwood Street. Officers were responding to a disturbance there, they said.
Officers arrested Josh Renfro for suspicion of violating a protection from abuse order and possession of marijuana Sunday in the 400 block of North Jefferson Avenue.
Driver cited
Paul Knight, 52, Moran, was northbound on Kentucky Street Monday when he collided with a westbound vehicle on Spruce Street driven by Whitney Ulrich, 23, rural Iola. Ulrich was cited for failure to yield, officers said.
Theft reported
Robert Hawk told officers somebody removed a Ridgid drill and a circular saw from the back of his vehicle while it was parked July 27 in the 600 block of South State Street.
Parked car hit
Tessa M. Galemore, 28, was backing from a driveway in the 300 block of South Colborn Street July 26 when she struck a parked vehicle owned by John B. Hall. The Hall vehicle, a 1993 Ford pickup was illegally parked, officers said.
Gas meters hit
Jacob L. Peterson, 21, was backing through a yard in the 300 block of South Walnut Street July 27 when he struck a gas meter, officers said.
Mary Q. Rozkydal, 63, was turning from an alley into a driveway in the 400 block of East Madison Avenue when she struck a gas meter Wednesday.
Car slides into ditch
Michael G. Sailor, 41, was attempting to turn his vehicle into an alley in the 100 block of East Rock Street early Thursday morning, but missed the turn by about 20 feet, due to diminished visibility in a heavy downpour, officers said.
A tow truck was needed to pull the vehicle from the ditch.
Stopped vehicle hit
Harry A. Clubine, 57, was stopped at a light on Madison Avenue at the Washington Avenue intersection when his vehicle was struck from behind by a pickup driven by Charles J. Shields, 16. Neither driver was injured.
Vehicles collide
Earl J. Riebel, 90, was eastbound on U.S. 54 Monday when he collided with Edna M. Ayling, 49, who was southbound on Kentucky Street.
Both drivers claimed the right-of-way with a green light, officers said, and accused the other of running a red light. Neither was injured, nor were three passengers riding with Ayling.

Iola police officers were called to a disturbance Tuesday in the 10 block of Chambers Drive. No arrests were reported.
