Arrests reported
A traffic stop Sunday evening in the 1200 block of East Monroe Street led to the arrests of James Prater, 47, Garnett, and Christin Menan, 43, Iola, for suspicion of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Prater also faces charges of no liability insurance, improper registration and no drivers license.
Iola police officers arrested Donald Hufferd, 57, Iola, for suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felony criminal damage to property Sunday evening, following a disturbance in the 10 block of North Third Street.
Derek Riley, 49, was arrested by Iola police Sunday in the 10 block of North Third Street for suspicion of illegally carrying a weapon and for an Allen County District Court warrant for a charge of distributing methamphetamine.
Window damaged
Iola officers were told May 6 somebody damaged the front store window at Southwind Cycle and Outdoors, 17 E. Madison Ave.
Counterfeit bill passed
Officers were told May 6 somebody passed a counterfeit $20 bill in the 100 block of West Madison Avenue. An investigation continues.
Bicycle found
Iola police officers picked up a blue Kaluna 26-inch bicycle Saturday in the 10 block of North Third Street.
