Arrests reported
A traffic stop Saturday in the 100 block of White Boulevard led to the arrest of Austin Cuevas, 20, Mesquite, Texas, for suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing alcohol as a minor. Omar Ferrufino, 20, Conroe, Texas, was arrested for suspicion of using fraudulent identification to purchase alcohol and possessing alcohol as a minor.
Aaron Dix, 25, Humboldt, was arrested Friday for suspicion of driving while impaired, transporting an open container of alcohol and speeding in the 2600 block of North Cottonwood Street.
Stolen firearm recovered
Jordan Crowder, Iola, told police officers Saturday that a firearm was stolen from his residence in the 500 block of South Kentucky Street.
The suspect accused in the crime was later located by the Fort Scott Police Department, and the firearm was recovered.
Charges are requested through the Allen County attorneys office.
Backing accidents reported
Pieter J. Venter II, 17, was backing his vehicle in an Iola High School parking lot April 10 when he struck a pickup driven by Bradyn H. Cole, 17. Neither was hurt.
On Friday, Derek L. Wallace, 45, was backing a trailer in the 600 block of North Street when he struck a gas meter.
