Arrest reported

Benjamin Lewis, 36, Iola, was arrested Wednesday for suspicion of assault and disorderly conduct after Iola police officers were called to a disturbance in the 500 block of Briarwood Drive.

Officers arrested Jason Sinclair, 30, Iola, for suspicion of theft, interfering with law enforcement, battery of a law enforcement officer and criminal damage to property after officers were called Monday to investigate an incident in the 200 block of North Elm Street.

Citation issued

Melissa McCann, 36, Iola, was cited for harassment by telephone after Iola police officers investigated an incident in the 500 block of North State Street Tuesday.

No injuries

A school bus driven by Verna J. McKarnin, 74, struck the rear end of a Suburban driven by  Scott A. Doolittle, 39, at the intersection of Monroe and Jefferson streets Jan. 24.

Doolittle was stopped at a stop sign when the accident occurred.

Neither driver was injured, nor were 11 juveniles riding the bus, all between the ages of 6 and 9.

Stop sign struck

Brandi Chapman, 27, was westbound in the 1800 block of East Street in the predawn hours of Jan. 22, when her vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a stop sign. She was unhurt.

Threats alleged

Allen County Regional Hospital employees told police Thursday morning a subject came into the emergency room and became verbally abusive, making threats against the employees.

Tag taken

Breanna Primeaux told Iola police officers Wednesday morning somebody removed a temporary tag from her vehicle without permission while it was in the 300 block of South Washington Avenue.
