Becky J. Meiwes and Ronald G. German were treated for possible injuries after their pickups collided at the intersection of State Street and Miller Road Jan. 4.

Iola police officers said Meiwes was westbound on Miller, when she struck German’s southbound pickup. Both drivers were checked out by ambulance crews, but were not transported, officers said.

Also Jan. 4, Michaela D. Rodriguez was northbound on First Street, when her sport utility vehicle collided with a westbound pickup driven by James Stiffler, who was westbound on Broadway Street. Neither driver was hurt.

There, they arrested Garry Markley for suspicion of distribution of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was wanted on an out-of-state warrant. Markley is being held at the Allen County Jail without bond.

Dacota Price was arrested in the 200 block of North Washington Avenue Jan. 2 on three warrants out of Shawnee County, officers reported.
