Southwind Extension District 4-H members competed Saturday in the State Horticulture Judging Contest on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan.  They had to identify 50 different plants, place eight different categories of plants on quality, and were tested on their knowledge on various aspects of plant science.  There were 82 youth competing in both the intermediate division and the senior division. Abigail Meiwes lead the intermediate team with a 4th place finish.  Representing Southwind Extension District was Levi Meiwes in the senior division and Abigail Meiwes and Carly Kramer in the intermediate division.  Accompanying them was their coach Terri Kretzmeier.  PHOTO BY TERRI KRETZMEIER
