Carlyle Presbyterian Church

Carlyle Presbyterian was beautifully decorated for the annual Christmas Eve service.  Pastor Steve Traw welcomed members and guests. Pianist Myrna Wildscheutz played a prelude of lovely Christmas hymns and also accompanied the congregational singing. The Brian Crites family conducted the advent candle service followed by a Christmas message by Pastor Traw. He referred to passages from Matthew and Luke to draw parallels between Christ’s birth and his crucifixion. The elders distributed the communion elements followed by the congregation participating in a candlelight service with everyone encircling the sanctuary and singing “Silent Night.”
