The LaHarpe VFW Auxiliary met Aug. 12 with a picnic supper.
A Veterans Family Day celebration is planned for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the LaHarpe VFW. It will feature games for kids and adults.
A District 3 meeting is planned for 9 a.m. Oct. 5 at the LaHarpe VFW.
The club welcomed District 3 President Charlene Wilkerson at the August meeting and approved three memberships for Debra Harrison, Keli Mader and Helen Weide.
The club agreed to pay Bingo workers dues for eight Auxiliary members for 2020.
National Auxiliary President Peggy Haake of Hawaii will be in Kansas in October. Club members plan to see her in Wichita.
The Auxiliary recognized two members who have died, Cecile Huston and Jessie Ross.
Member Beth Griffeth said that Crossroads needs a basketball goal and court at a cost of about $2,000.
The next meeting is Sept. 9, with dinner at 6 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m.
