Kenna Michelle Thompson and Mark Edwards Chesnut, Springfield, Mo., were united in marriage on May 16, 2015, at the Barn at Timber Cove in Pittsburg.
Kenna is the daughter of Kent and Susan Thompson, LaHarpe. She is the granddaughter of the late Judy Klimek Thompson, formerly of Moran, and the late Leon Thompson of Iola, Marilyn Wade, Iola, and the late James Wade, Pittsburg.
Mark is the son of the Honorable Judge Charles Chesnut and Dr. Shirley Murphy Chesnut, Miami, Okla. He is the grandson of the late Charles Chesnut and Mary Chesnut, Miami, Okla., and Peggy Murphy and the late Robert Murphy, Stillwater, Okla.
Kenna’s maid of honor was Tai Lee, LaHarpe, Kelcey Jessee, Columbus, served as matron of honor. Kenna’s bridesmaids were Stacia Snavely, Joplin, Taylor Burd, Kansas City, Laura Chesnut, Miami, Tiffany Marquardt, Parsons, and Mia and Ami Thompson, both of Springfield.
Mark’s best men were Michael Chesnut, Miami, and Matt Chesnut, Oklahoma City. Mark’s groomsmen were Andrew Patterson, Denver, Colo., Zach Simpson, Miami, Kyler Thompson, Pittsburg, Blake Byford, Weatherford, Okla., Zac Dickey, Pittsburg, and Joe Dale Morgan, Miami.
Kenna is a graduate of Iola High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in business management and master of business administration from Pittsburg State University. Mark graduated from Miami High School. He received his bachelor’s in marketing from Oklahoma State University and master of business administration and master’s in psychology from Pittsburg State University.
The couple honeymooned in the Riviera Maya, near Tulum, Mexico and will reside in Springfield, Mo.
