On Oct. 11, 1953, on a beautiful fall Sunday, Shirley Ann Agin and Kendall H. Ashford were united in marriage. The wedding took place in the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Iola.
They will celebrate their 60th anniversary this Friday with their family. Kendall and Shirley have four children, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Cards are welcome.
