Kayla Bigelow and Mathias Simmons, both of Manhattan, were married at 6:30 p.m. on May 30, 2014 at Stony Point Hall, Baldwin City. The officiating minister was Ken Long of Lawrence Church of Christ.
Kayla is the daughter of Galen and Trena Bigelow, Elsmore. She is a pharmacy student and will graduate in May 2015.
Mathias is the son of Robbie and Wendy Simmons, Holt, Mo. He is a Ph.D student.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and will reside in Manhattan.
Grandparents attending the wedding were Wesley and Wanda Stephens, Moran, and Galen and Marita Bigelow, Fort Scott.
Kayla’s maid of honor was her sister Kristina Bigelow, Elsmore, and her bridesmaid was the groom’s sister, Rachel Simmons, Kansas City, Mo.
Mathias’ best man was his brother Cody Simmons, Holt, Mo. and his groomsman was his cousin Luke Simmons, Sedalia, Mo.
