Jodie L. Sager, Manhattan, and Matthew T. Giller, Manhattan, were united in marriage on July 5, 2014. The ceremony was officiated by Father Gale Hammerschmidt at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Mahattan.
Jodie is the daughter of David and Janet Sager, Moran, and the granddaughter of Vernon and Doris Hopkins, Benton, and the late Marvin and Wilma Sager, Moran.
Lacey Sutherland, Nashville, Tenn., was Jodie’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelley McLees, Alanta, Ga., Holly Myers, Kansas City, Kan., Maeve O’Brien, Kansas City, Kan., Bailey Bedford, Jacksonville, Fla., Whitney Neth, Liberty Mo., Liz Weaver, Kansas City, Kan., and Kayleigh Vaughn, Annapolis, Ma.
The reader was Sabrina Callahan, Dallas, Texas.
Kurt Giller, Tulsa, Okla., was Matthew’s best man. Groomsmen were TJ Giller, Manhattan, Brad Briggs, Knoxville, Tenn., Drew Wilkinson, Manhattan, Kan., Cole Bachamp, Manhattan, Rudy Weiser, Fort Worth, Texas, Daniel Dellasega, Wichita, and Matt Applegate, Hays.
Jodie graduated from Marmaton Valley High School in 2007. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Kansas State University in 2011 and her master’s degree in speech language pathology from Wichita State University in 2013. She is employed as a speech language pathologist for USD 475 Geary County in Junction City.
Matthew graduated from Manhattan High School in 2007. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Kansas State University in 2012 and his master’s degree in business from KSU in 2014. He is employed as assistant director of development with Kansas State University Athletics.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia and reside in Manhattan.
