IHS to offer Forensics Showcase

The Iola High School forensics team will cap a successful season with a Forensics Showcase for the public at 6 p.m. Monday at the Creitz Recital Hall at the Bowlus Fine Arts Center. 

Those who have qualified for state will compete May 4 at Topeka-Washburn Rural High School.

Team Sweeps: 1st place

Oral Interpretation of Prose: Jon Poffenbarger, 3rd place

Oral Interpretation of Poetry: Jake Andersen, 1st place; Allie Fager, 3rd place

Hannah Andersen, 4th place; Parker Smith, 5th place

Humorous Solo Acting: Haley Carlin, 2nd place; Parker Smith, 5th place

Serious Solo Acting:

Isabella Duke, 4th place

Samuel Fager, 6th place

Duet  Acting: Lexie Vega and River Hess, 1st place
