SAVONBURG Free cancer screenings will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 12, at the Senior Community Center in Savonburg.
Local Masons, volunteers from Savonburg Pride and staff from the Midwest Cancer Alliance are pairing up with health professionals from the University of Kansas Medical Center to provide services that include screenings for skin cancer, prostate cancer, kits to test for colon cancer and assessments of a persons body mass index.
The event is free and open to the public.
