PITTSBURG The Mall of Agriculture is in Pittsburg this weekend as part of the 45th annual Four State Farm Show.
The farm show has been pushed up in the calendar this year, organizers noted in a press release.
The extreme heat we generally encounter with the third weekend in July became a concern, Lance Markley, farm show coordinator and publisher of Farm Talk Newspaper, said. Exhibitors and attendees alike are affected, and both segments input was instrumental in making the date change.
What wont change is the shows reputation as a go-to event for farmers and ranchers to see the latest in agricultural equipment, technology and services, Markley said.
Events include a lawn mower test-driving range, drone demonstrations, Argo XTV and water well drilling.
A drawing for a $1,000 shopping spree is available each day of the event, which runs Friday through Sunday.
More than 700 booths covering 25 acres will fill the farm show site, one-half mile east of the intersections of U.S. 400, U.S. 69 and K-171 the same site for the event since 1984.
