Floyd and Dixie (Dungan) Woods will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, Sept. 25.
They were married Sept. 25, 1965, at First Christian Church in Columbus.

Mrs. Woods is the daughter of Dale and the late Zelma Dungan of rural Columbus. Mr. Woods is the son of the late Theodore and Margaret Woods of Crestline.
Mrs. Woods is a retired elementary school teacher who chose to be a stay-at-home mom during her daughters’ early years. She taught 19 years in the Chanute school district and one year in the Galena school district. She is a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Pittsburg. 
Mr. Woods is a retired high school administrator, teacher and coach.  He worked in education for 33 years. He worked in the Humboldt, Southeast, Galena, and Bronson/Uniontown districts. He is a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Sherman City.
They have two daughters, Julie Mahnken and her husband, Bryan, Pittsburg, and Jana Jones and her husband, Bruce, Sanibel, Fla. They share a passion for their six grandsons, Seth, Sage and Shay, Pittsburg, and John Paul, Harrison, and Truman, Sanibel.
