Wednesday is the final planting date for 2019 corn in Allen and Woodson County.
As a result, farmers who plan to file prevented planting reports must do so by May 30, the Farm Service Agency announced.
July 15 is the final date to report planted acres of corn, grain sorghum, soybeans and sunflowers.
Fontact the Allen County FSA Office at (620) 365-2901 or stop by the office at 202 W. Miller Rd. in Iola once the corn is planted so the planting dates can be marked. This will save time in the office later in the year, when soybean and grain sorghum dates are reported.
