LAHARPE — September is steeped with activity at LaHarpe City Hall.
LaHarpe Health and Wellness has organized a number of games and activities, including a Nerf Gun battle in the City Hall gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 10.
All guns and ammo will be supplied, as will protective eyewear.
Battles will run 10 minutes, with two teams of five playing each other. Children must have someone 18 or older present with them. Participants also will be asked to sign a waiver.
On Sept. 24, Health and Wellness is sponsoring an ice cream social from 1 to 3 p.m..
Game Night follows from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 28.
Cards, board games and dominoes are on the menu, with folks of all ages invited. Or, if somebody has a suggestion for a game, just call City Hall (620) 496-2241, to leave a message.
Organizers are eager to make Game Night a regular monthly occurrence, and will accept ideas for future activities.
In addition, Workout Buddies nights run from 8 to 9 p.m. each Wednesday of the month, Sept. 7, 14, 21 and 28, in the fitness center at City Hall. The Sept. 28 session begins immediately after Game Night ends.
