Robert and Denise Smith Jr., Piqua, announce the engagement of their daughter Ashley Marie Smith to Jason Alan Meyer, son of Richard and Mary Dee Meyer, Hartford.
Smith is a 2003 graduate of Yates Center High School and a 2008 graduate of Flint Hills Technical College with an associate’s degree in applied science and practical nursing. She is employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Coffey County Hospital in Burlington.
Her grandparents are Cline and Delores Karmann, Yates Center, and Robert Smith Sr., Piqua.
Meyer is a 2000 graduate of Hartford High School and a 2002 graduate of Flint Hills Technical College with a degree in automotive technology. He is employed as an automotive technician at Payless Auto Sales in Emporia.
His grandparents, Leroy Herman and Carla and Carl Meyer, are deceased.
A June 2011 wedding is planned.
