Don and Carol Cress, Humboldt, and Glen and Betty Cunningham, Iola, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their children, Mary Ann Cress and Joseph “Joe” Glen Cunningham, Humboldt.
The bride-elect received a registered nurse’s degree from Pittsburg State University. She is employed by Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
The groom-to-be earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Emporia State University. He is employed by Protection One in Lawrence.
The couple are planning an Oct. 9 wedding at United Methodist Church in Humboldt.
