Bria Wilkins and Mark Kettle, Lawrence, are planning an April 30 wedding in Highland Park in Chanute.
The bride-elect is the daughter of John Wilkins, Carol Wilkins and John Shores. She is a graduate of Iola High School and Allen County Community College. In 2006 she received a bachelor of arts degree in human biology from the University of Kansas. She is pursuing a doctor of philosophy in microbiology. She is employed as a graduate teaching assistant for advanced microbiology at KU.
The groom-elect is the son of Jon Kettle and Linda and Chad Stange. He is a graduate of Chanute High School. In 2007, he graduated from KU with a bachelor of general studies in political science. He is employed by Farmers Insurance as a service operations supervisor.
