Elizabeth Kay Toland, Iola, and Edward Bartlett Smith, of both Macon and LaGrange, Ga., are planning a May 27 wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Lawrence.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Clyde and Nancy Toland, Iola. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Kansas in 2005. She is a student at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Ga., and will graduate in May with a Master of Divinity Degree. She recently accepted the position of associate pastor for youth and young adults at Second Presbyterian Church in Roanoke, Va.
The groom-to-be is the son of Raymond C. Smith Jr. and Suzann Smith. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 2007 from the University of Georgia. He is a student at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, Texas, and will graduate in May with a Master of Divinity Degree. He is an intern at University Presbyterian Church in Austin and is seeking future employment in the Roanoke area.
