Katy Mueller and Denton McVey, Iola, announce their engagement and approaching marriage in May.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Scott and Shellie Mueller. She is a graduate of Iola High School and Pittsburg State University. She is employed as a social worker for the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services.
The groom-to-be is the son of Ron McVey and Denise Adams. He is a graduate of Marmaton Valley High School and PSU. He is employed as an electrical instrumentation control technician for East Kansas Agri-Energy.
