The Rev. Earl McConnellee, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, Moran, presided over the wedding of E.J. Siefker and Barbara Ensminger on Sept. 30, 1956.
H.R. Siefker, brother of the groom, served as best man. Sue Siefker, sister of the bride served as matron of honor. Miss Ensminger wore her sister Sue’s wedding gown. An ecru tablecloth, crocheted by Miss Ensminger’s mother, the late Gladys Ann Ensminger, adorned the gift table.
This tablecloth has since been used at the gift table of all of Gladys Ann’s grandchildren’s weddings.
An anniversary open house is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at the Senior Center in downtown Moran. The celebration will be hosted by the Siefker’s three daughters, Deb Tynon and husband Pat, Jamie Stodgell and husband Michael and Susan Siefker.
The Siefkers have been blessed with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Everyone is invited for cake and laughter! The couple requests no gifts.
