Hope Unlimited and the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program teamed up today to honor first responders by donating plates of cookies to law enforcement, firefighters and ambulance personnel. Delivering the sweets to the Allen County Sheriffs Department were, front from left, Carol George, Robin Withrow and Lori Holman. The grateful recipients were, back from left, Brenda Beth, Doug Campbell, Chris Woods, Steve Womack and Sheriff Bryan Murphy. The trio also delivered treats to the Iola police and fire departments later in the day to honor the 18th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
