Dannette Newland, Iola, and Brent Cleaver, Iola, are happy to announce their engagement to be married. The couple will join in marriage June 20, 2015, at Wesley United Methodist Church.
Dannette is the daughter of Mark and Cindy Newland, Iola. She is the granddaughter of Carolynn Krohn, Iola, Sam and Rhonda Newland, Osage City, and Georgia and Jim Maier, Statesville, N.C.
Brent is the son of Mark Cleaver, Iola, and Chandra and Kevin Stauffer, Wichita. He is the grandson of Mary and John Cleaver, Iola, and Barbara and John Thompson, Alamagordo, N.M.
Dannette has her bachelor of science degree in family and consumer sciences with an emphasis in early childhood development from Pittsburg State University. She is working on her master of science degree in early childhood and family development from Missouri State University. Dannette works full time at Pitsco Education in Pittsburg.
Brent will graduate in the spring with a bachelor of arts degree in history from Pittsburg State University. He works part time at O’Reilly Auto Parts in Fort Scott.
