The third Alpha-Gal Syndrome cooking class designed to help address the effect of tick bites is at noon, Sunday, Jan. 14 at 2401 N. State St. in Iola.
Debbie Goff, RN, is the presenter.
The class is open to all, even if they’ve never attended the previous classes.
Information about the effects of the tick bites will be reviewed and additional instructions with shopping tips will be presented, including what can be eaten when limited to chicken, turkey and fish.
Food samples will be provided as well as recipes for soup, bread, quiche and casseroles.
Time will be allowed for attendees to share their stories, ask questions and learn from each other. A community garden will be discussed.
