Christian Church
Larry Wittmer gave the Communion meditation on Gods will for our life on Sunday, with the reminder that Jesus instructs us to become more like little children. In 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul tells us what to do with our life as a Christian. Some of these are to honor those who are leaders in the Lords work, live peaceably with each other, always be joyful, never stop praying, do not stifle the Holy Spirit, etc. Pastor Chase Riebel gave the sermon on the Good News that brings great Joy! (Ref: Luke 2:8-18, Isaiah 49, Luke 3:7, Luke 10, Matthew 10:16 and 9:10, Hebrews 11:6, Colossians 3:1, John 15:10-13, Matthew 28, Revelation 12:10-12)
A rehearsal for the Christmas program at 6:30 p.m. today. The Christmas program will be during Sundays church service. Christmas Eve candlelight services are at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Movie night is Dec. 29. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the movie starting at 6:30.
Prayer, pizza and planning are on the menu for 4 p.m. Jan. 1 at the church parsonage. All church members are encouraged to attend.
Cowboy Church
High Point Cowboy Church welcomed Kenny Russell, Caesarea, Israel, on Sunday.
Following a special Christmas selection by Terri Louk and a time of praise led by Cindy Beckmon, Russell shared about our roots in the land of Israel reading from Hebrews 11:8-10.
Bible study was led by Ron Thompson following the message. High Point Cowboy Church will host a community Christmas Even candlelight service at 5 p.m. Monday. Everyone is welcome.
UMC
Scripture shared Sunday at the United Methodist Church was Isaiah 12: 2-6, Zephaniah 3: 14-20, Philippians 4: 4-7, and Luke 3: 7-18. Pastor Dorothy Welch presented the sermon, D0.
Crest
Students expecting days off from school Jan. 21 and April 15 must now attend those days to make up for lost time due to flooding earlier in the year.
BOE
Crest USD 479 Board of Education members approved Dec. 10 a trip for Crest FFA officers to attend the Denver Stock Show on Jan. 18-21. The school district will pay for gas and lodging.
Crest USD 479 received a $25,000 grant from the Throckmorton-Riser Foundation for the construction of a softball field. Principal Travis Hermreck presented construction costs and information about softball participation.

Discussion of a lease agreement between USD 479 and the City of Kincaid and the Kincaid Recreation Association.
The districts financial audit for the 2017-18 school year, prepared by Diehl, Banwart and Bolton, CPA, P.A. was accepted.
