Colony church plans movie night, supper

Community

February 18, 2019 - 9:46 AM

Howard Reiter gave the Communion Meditation Sunday on “The Timeless Name” at the Colony Christian Church.

In Revelation 1:8, God says he is the Alpha and Omega, The Mighty One. He is the living one and “am alive forever and ever!” Jesus is the master of time, the same yesterday, today and forever.

Pastor Chase Riebel gave the sermon on week 16 of the Believe series, “Biblical Community.”

In Genesis 1:26-27 God said, “Let us make human beings in our image.” From the beginning, it was always a community. We are made to sharpen each other, learn from each other, hold each other accountable, share our struggles, worship together, share all we have, speak the truth in love and love each other.

There will be no men’s Bible study Tuesday.

Prayer and meal time at the parsonage are at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, followed by the youth group at 7. Kids are welcome to arrive at 4:30 p.m.

Small groups are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Movie night is Saturday. A chili supper will start at about 5:30 p.m. The movie starts at 6:30.

The ladies book club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the parsonage.
