Colony Christian Church — Sept. 3

Community

September 3, 2019 - 9:46 AM

Larry Wittmer gave the communion Sunday.

In 2011, GPS makers did away with “recalculating” messages when they took a wrong turn because people complained of being told they were wrong, Wittmer said.

In Psalm 32, David turned to the Lord and confessed his sins. Forgiveness from the cross is always ours, no matter how much “recalculating” we have to do.

Pastor Chase Riebel gave the sermon on “Powerful Faith.”

Faith is a core function of our relationship with God. We are told to share our faith with others, but also need to be able to defend it.(Ref: Philippians 1:6, Matthew 8:5-10 & 13, Hebrews 11:1, 3, 6, Revelation 21:1-5, Romans 8:38-39) To hear this sermon in its entirety, go to http://www.colonychristianchurch.org.

Men’s Bible study is at 7 a.m. Tuesday. The Wednesday meal is at 5:30 p.m., followed by adult Bible study at 7 o’clock in the parsonage, and youth group at the same time in the church.

Sunday cross training is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by church services at 10:45.

Thanks to all who helped with the Colony Day celebration building fundraisers.
