The City Slickers 4-H Club held their post Allen County Fair meeting Aug. 11 at the Riverside Park Community Building.
President Jillian Keller called the meeting to order and Ty and Shelby Shaughnessy led the flag salute and 4-H pledge. Carly Dreher, song leader directed members in If Youre Happy and You Know It.
The 4-H club foods table, banner and decorated hay bale all received blue ribbons at the fair, and that City Slickers was the champion Barnyard Olympics Team.
Members voted to move the next meeting to Sept. 15 to avoid a conflict with the Kansas State Fair. Bryer Grisier and Brody Nemecek led a game of Everybody Is It Tag.
Members were asked to bring their 4-H record books to the next meeting for a workshop to get the books ready for judging in October. The City Slickers 4-H Club wants to encourage youth ages 7-19 to join 4-H.
