Carlyle Presbyterian Church

Pastor Steve Traw’s message Sunday, “The Persecuted Church,” was taken from Revelation 2:8-11.

This was the third in a series of messages taken from Revelation; letters written to the seven churches in seven major cities throughout Asia Minor, which today is the region of Turkey.   The second letter was written to the church in Smyrna where the Christians were persecuted for their faith, were poor in material things, but rich in their faith and love for the Lord.

Pianist, Myrna Wildschuetz played “Can You Feel His Presence?” for the prelude and organist Rita Sanders played a “Grace Greater than Our Sins/Amazing Grace” medley for the offertory.

Mason, grandson of Patty and Glen Herschberger, will celebrate his 14th birthday Monday.

Kay Compton, Phyllis Loomis, Richard and Cheryl Klingensmith sang “Love Lifted Me” accompanied by Myrna at the piano.

The church fellowship dinner will be at noon Sunday.

Bible Study with Pastor Steve on the book of John is at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
