Joanne McIntyre attended the annual Big Hill Campers Club reunion June 8.

The group first camped at Big Hill east of Cherryvale in 1986, and has steadily grown through the years.

A luncheon and get-together were held at the Carlyle Presbyterian Church, with many of the original campers taking part.

Attending were Donald Bain, Ronald and Rosie Stranghoner, Ginny Hawk, Myron and Betty Rush, Joanne McIntyre, Don and Dorene Isaac, Maynard and Jeanice Cress, Bob and Maude Burns, Pauli Hawk, Patsy Krokstrom, Richard Chase, Rita Sanders, Gary and Beverly Hawk, Oscar and Billie Clabough, Ritabess Ling and Bruce and Judy Cochran. Eleven members were unable to attend.

Rita Sanders asked the members if they wished to continue the annual tradition. The vote was a unanimous “yes” to meet again in June 2020.

Rita Sanders played “May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You” for the prelude and “Rejoice in the Lord Always” for the offertory.

Aiden Fraker shared medals he had won at the state track and field meet.  He took first in the 50-yard dash and the 50-meter run.

The church fellowship dinner will be at noon Sunday.

Bible Study with Pastor Traw on the book of Ephesians will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
