Scott and Amber Atkins welcome their first child, Sophia Marie Atkins.
She was born Sept. 28, 2012 at Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Her maternal granparents are John and Michele Groff. Her paternal grandparents are Robbie and Lorna Atkins. Sophia is the first grandchild for both sets of grandparents.
