Joe and Amanda Hawley, Mount Pleasant, Texas, announce the birth of a daughter, Piper Jade, born Jan. 5, 2011, at Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. She weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 inches long. She joins a sister, Gentry, 2 1/2.
Maternal grandparents are Vester and Cheryl Reed, Humboldt, and paternal grandparents are Ron Hawley, Iola, and Frances Hawley and John Olson, Humboldt. Great-grandparents are Vester and Mary Reed, Chanute.
